Breathe in the Benefits

We love essential oils for a couple of reasons, they usually smell good so you can use them as a natural perfume that is not harmful for you, mix them with 'stuff' and get all sorts of things like room sprays, hair treatments, candles, bench top cleaners etc.

Another way we like to enjoy the benefits of these oils is to breathe them in with the help of a essential oil diffuser. Here are some benefits and ways you can get the most of it:

 

Get the benefits of essential oils

Some examples are: relaxation, sleep aid, mood elevation, positivity, calmness etc etc. 

Improve your mood with: Sweet orange, jasmine, rose, sandalwood, vanilla.
For relaxation/sleep: Lavender, chamomile, clary sage.

 

Fight illness

Such as cold and flues with the help of the right essential oils. Many essential oils has antibacterial properties so they can essentially fight those airborne nasties before they get the chance to reach your body. It can also help using oils that can be used to boost your immune system. Lastly some diffusers also work as a humidifier which can help you keep your airways healthy. 

Try: Tea tree, sage, rosemary, grapefruit, lemon or thyme.
Clear your airways: peppermint, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus. 

 

Insect repellent

As we have written before essential oils can be used as a natural way to repel insects. You can either make you own spray or use the oils on you or diffuse them to repel those little bloodsuckers!

Try: clove, lemongrass, rosemary, cedar-wood
